I didn't have time in the morning or noon to write, but I promised myself I'll do it in the evening instead, and I gotta say, the first 4 hours working on this, I was mostly frustrated with how it was turning out and was worried some of the stuff I was doing wasn't even making sense, but then in the last 2 hours everything fell into place one by one, and the end result just makes me elated. Deciding to slow it down to 85bpm (instead of the 94 I was going for earlier in the writing process) helped a lot.
Oh, and yeah, this is the fourth day of the year, and thus the fourth song of the year. Utilizing an ancient stem, the oldest one I wrote and haven't used before, from July 20th, 2003. It was just the piano melody and the sax riff.
