I first got my hands on the demo for Reason (1.0) way back in 2001, but some of the demo limitations were that you couldn't save your projects, and that it would shut down within about 20 minutes from the moment you started it. I didn't let that stop me from writing though. How did I save my work? By writing down everything I did in the previous 20 minute session in a text file, then starting the next session, recreating it with the help of the text, and doing more.
I had a few dozen of those text files from the days I used the demo versions by late July 2002, when I finally got the full version, and I went about recreating them again for the last time now that I could actually save my project files.
The third project I ever created in Reason was my song Cherry (which can be found in the 2002 Exploited album, and maybe I'll remix it tomorrow, we'll see), my oldest surviving song, and I haven't changed anything about it from back then.

This, on the other hand, was my first. My first ever project done in Reason. It had 3 303-wannabes and drums, and it wasn't sequenced. I took only those 3 lines now and changed their sound a bit and gave them a new context.
