Accidents Happen

I wrote these 8 lines of lyrics, and then 6 of them mapped out to 16 bars, argh. Had to find some way to make the last 2 lines fit too, and it might have been a clearer message had I let them be the final line of lyrics I sing in the song, but I still wanted to main vocal in the crescendo, so I sacrificed some of the strength of the point, oh well. :p
The accident that prompted this was pretty minor stuff. My recliner unexpectedly tipped over (forward) while I was sitting on it, and it's still pretty new to me, so I had no idea how to handle it and made things worse the moment it happened, causing a bit of a mess, and it kinda traumatized me a lot more than I would have expected.
Oh, also, when I wrote the lyric I thought I'd call the song "My Piece", but the "Accidents happen" bit is far more hooky, and overall a better and more specific title.

Edit: Whoops, I guess there was some kind of accident here, as the first export that I uploaded ended up only being 59 seconds in length? Eep, appropriate for the title, but an undesirable result nonetheless. fixed. :p

But why am I so affected?
I don't claim to have been perfected
I try to be good, often succeed
But why am I so stuck? How do I proceed?
I'm sure it's something to do with inner peace
So here's an attempt, that's my piece.
